Joining as part of business support
PA has a reputation as an excellent provider of clinical services but none of this would be possible without our amazing business support team within the practice.
Our Referral Team are crucial to our work and the staff skilfully offer advice, take referrals and requests and place work with our employed and associate clinicians. PA’s service development staff are continuously promoting services and training events by reaching out across many different platforms. The Finance team work hard to develop good relationships with all of our customers and staff whilst organising all invoicing and payments. The Reception staff are the welcoming face of PA when clients and clinicians arrive at our offices and offer everyone reassurance and seamless support. Our HR team manage our ongoing recruitment processes admirably. Whilst the management team keeps every cog moving smoothly.

Finance Officer
Saltash Office, Cornwall
Job description
At Psychology Associates, we are looking for a motivated and organised Finance Officer to join our friendly multidisciplinary team at our Saltash office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in finance who enjoys working in a varied role, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our practice, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing sales and purchase invoices
- Reconciling bank, credit card and petty cash accounts
- Processing monthly expenses
- Chasing overdue invoices and outstanding payments
- Supporting budget and forecast monitoring
- Producing monthly financial reports
- Undertaking other ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as required
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a finance role
- Confidence using Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- An understanding of cash flow
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Confidence and persistence when following up on unpaid invoices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Salary
£26,000–£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
