Vikki Hunkin
Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist
Dr Vikki Hunkin is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist. She is an expert in cognitive assessment, mental capacity assessment and full neuropsychological assessment.
Dr Hunkin has specialist training in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment of adults. She holds the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). This is the British Psychological Society’s “gold-standard” qualification in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment.
Dr Hunkin has many years’ experience in Clinical Neuropsychology, having worked in NHS Clinical Neuropsychology Services and in independent and medicolegal practice. The focus of her work has been using cognitive assessment to diagnose problems with memory, language, attention and other cognitive skills; and to treat these problems using the best evidence-based psychological rehabilitation approaches.
She is experienced in assessing a wide range of clinical problems, including learning/developmental disabilities and difficulties, acquired brain injury, stroke, dementia, chronic neurological illness such as epilepsy, and psychiatric conditions which present with memory problems. As such her expertise in cognitive and neuropsychological assessment is wide-ranging and comprehensive.
She has completed Bond Solon training in expert witness skills and has experience of giving evidence in court.
