Letty Cheney
Art Therapist
Letty Cheney is a HCPC Registered Art Therapist who qualified in 2016. She has worked as an art therapist with children and young people within third sector organisations, private practice and in schools. She has worked as part of an MDT for adults with learning difficulties. She has a special interest in mental health, trauma, attachment difficulties and bereavement.
Letty is client led and provides a therapeutic space that meets the client wherever they want to begin. Through the process of making the client can begin to express and then manage or reflect upon their past and current experiences. The use of different art materials; i.e. paint, water, pastels and clay, allows the client to experience feelings that can be held by the image or product that can be looked at together with her when they are ready.
