Simon is a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with 17 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of high-risk, personality disordered offenders and has specialist training in assessments of offending risk, personality disorder, cognitive functioning, mental health and readiness for treatment. Simon works in a specialist secure service, but also has experience of community forensic services. He has carried out national, multi-site research into the assessment and treatment of high-risk offenders and is published in a number of peer-reviewed journals. He provides reports and evidence for Mental Health Review Tribunals, and acts as an Expert Witness to the courts. Simon trains others in personality assessment and specialist therapies including Motivational Interviewing.
