Dr Perry Morrison

Clinical Psychologist

Perry Morrison is a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist who specialises in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. Perry has been working as a Clinical Psychologist since 2004 within the NHS and the private sector.  Perry has worked in a wide range of settings, including secure hospital units for adults with severe mental health diagnoses, to being a part of a multi-disciplinary team in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team. Perry is an accredited cognitive analytic therapy practitioner and supervisor, and has authored a chapter in Cognitive Analytic Therapy for People with Intellectual Disabilities and Their Carers (2013) by Lloyd and Clayton (Eds).  Perry is also intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and has set up and led a DBT team within a forensic service. Perry has vast experience in undertaking psychological assessments including with individuals who are considered a low to high risk. Perry has experience in undertaking parenting assessments of parents in family Court proceedings cases. Perry is registered with Bupa.

As you may be aware, on the 14th April 2025 the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) announced changes to the Fair Access limit with a reduction of funding to £3000 and the discontinuation of the separate Fair Access Limit for specialist assessments.

We are currently working really hard to amend quotes for ongoing therapy work to fit within the new Fair Access Limit and working closely with Adopt South West and other local RAAs. We are also working closely with other specialist adoption support providers and therapeutic organisations including DDP connects and Theraplay UK to explore how we can continue to deliver specialist therapies within this limit.

If you are waiting for a new package of therapy please look out for correspondence from ASW or your regional adoption support agency, as they will need to regain your consent for the amended therapy contract.
