Dr Nancy Poulter

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Nancy Poulter is a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with over eleven years’ experience working in the field of learning disability. Nancy is currently employed by Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist. She has developed expertise in the assessment and intervention of adults with a learning disability in a wide range of areas including mental health difficulties, dementia, neurodevelopmental disorders, offending and other behaviours that present challenges and risks. Nancy has a strong interest in attachment theory and its application in the field of learning disability. Nancy’s therapeutic orientation is grounded in systemic and narrative therapy but is essentially integrative, drawing on a range of models with sensitivity to the individual and systems around them.
