Dawn has been a Chartered Clinical Psychologist for 19 years, predominantly working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Adult Forensic Mental Health Services, and in Children’s Residential Care Services. She has extensive experience of staff training in mental health, as well as expertise in the supervision of clinical, counselling, and forensic psychologists, mental health workers and residential care staff, in addition to conducting complex psychological assessments of children, adolescents and adults. Dawn has 16 years of experience conducting court work in jointly instructed child and family cases, and criminal law cases assessing both child and adult victims and perpetrators particularly in CSA cases. She has considerable experience of attending court and giving expert evidence in child and family and criminal law cases. Dawn’s areas of interest are looked after children, complex trauma and PTSD, emerging personality disorder and sexually harmful behaviour in children and young people.
