Alison Leyland is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a great deal of experience working therapeutically with adults, parents and families. Alison has been working in Private Practice for over 20 years, with 16 years working as a Counsellor in GP surgeries. Alison has experience working in the context of adoption, and issues relating to looked-after children with a particular interest in working in a multidisciplinary way with social workers, schools and with adoptive parents. She is registered with Bupa.

Alison also has a teaching background, from early years to adult male offenders. Alison is passionate about recognising and working with the impact of early trauma in its many forms on the development of life script, coping mechanisms, and patterns of relating.
