Sharon joined Psychology Associates in 2021 and is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in Autism and Complex Communication Difficulties. Before joining Psychology Associates, she had a senior role as Clinical Lead for Autism for two NHS trusts for over 15 years, then switched to the independent sector in 2016.

Sharon works collaboratively and flexibly with clients, professionals and other key people, and her aim, through specialist assessment and intervention, is to enable clients to gain competence and confidence, and thereby achieve their communicative, learning and life potential.

She has training and experience in several effective specialist interventions, such as Hanen More Than Words – a parent training programme for children with social communication difficulties, Social Thinking, TEACCH, and SCERTS. Sharon also offers bespoke training and a consultative service to individuals and organisations.

She writes advice for EHCPs, and is a trained and experienced Expert Witness, having achieved Cardiff University’s Civil Expert Certificate.

She also works with adopted and fostered children within Psychology Associates’ multidisciplinary team.
