Louise is an experienced Children’s Occupational Therapist with a holistic, family centred approach. Motivated to find creative ways to support children to learn, play and feel safe enough to allow for them to be able interact with their physical and social environment, hence allowing for development and emotional growth to happen. Louise has a specialist interest in early intervention, sensory development and the mother-infant bond. Since qualifying 10 years ago, Louise has developed specialist knowledge and expertise in a range of paediatric areas including: child development, trauma, Acquired Brain Injury, neurodevelopmental conditions, developmental coordination disorder (dyspraxia), learning disabilities and mental health. Louise is an Accredited Sensory Integration Practitioner (ASI) and also applies principles of Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) when understanding the needs of a child or young person. Louise always ensures to use a strengths based approach when helping young people.
