Dr Ian McKenna
Dr Ian McKenna is dual trained as a HCPC registered clinical psychologist and a research scientist, who works in the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust. He has vast experience in the areas of adult mental health, eating disorders, and personality disorders, and these are his target specialities. Over the last 12 years of his psychological career he has gathered extensive experience working with adults with depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety disorders (e.g. panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder) sexual abuse, psychosis, anorexia, bulimia, obesity, acute and chronic health conditions in secondary mental health, specialist eating disorders and clinical health services. Ian specialises in providing therapeutic intervention to adults and adolescents, using an integrative approach. Ian is trained in many therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psycho dynamic therapy, systematic therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
