Cas is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, a UKCP registered family therapist and a Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) certified Therapist, Consultant and Trainer. She works as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in private practice. Her specialist area of clinical practice is concerned with complex trauma and therapeutic work to facilitate recovery. Cas led the Specialist Child Abuse team in Plymouth for 20 years and co-led the Attachment Clinic. In her current private practice she provides consultation, assessment and therapy to adoptive parents and their children. She also runs the “Fostering Attachments” training programme for the Devon Adoption Team. In addition to her psychological therapy work she undertakes clinical supervision and consultation to clinical psychologists, therapists and other professionals. She certifies DDP Therapists. She is a DDP trainer both in the UK and in Europe. She offers teaching on the Doctoral Clinical Psychology programme at Plymouth University and in other NHS training contexts. She is currently also working with Secure Children’s homes designing attachment and trauma informed care and intervention. Cas is working with trainers across England to design a training programme especially for this context.
